Our Team
Children's Rare Disease Organization Team
The Children’s Rare Disease Organization team is devoted to igniting research and uncovering treatments for rare diseases affecting children worldwide. These conditions are often overlooked, with government funding predominantly allocated to more common illnesses like diabetes, HIV, and COVID-19. This gap leaves many families facing a future filled with uncertainty.
Rare diseases usually impact less than 200,000 people in the US. Research funding is limited, slowing the understanding and potential cure for rare diseases. That is why, as an organization, we dedicate ourselves to bridging this funding gap and supporting innovative research endeavors of laboratories and organizations in the US and abroad that promise to unravel the mysteries of rare pediatric diseases.
Prioritization is given to those diseases with no underlying cause identified. We acknowledge the complexity of these conditions and the daunting challenge they pose to researchers. With our team, led by distinguished experts holding over two decades of experience in drug development, including Ph.D.s and M.D.s, we are uniquely equipped to spearhead this challenge.
Every board member brings a wealth of knowledge from various critical fields, ensuring that only the most promising research proposals receive our backing.
